POWER FAITH THAT GETS RESULTS
Mark 5:25-34; Luke 8:42-48
Today, we want to ask ourselves about FAITH. "Does my FAITH move my mountains, or do my mountains remove my FAITH? FAITH is foundational to the mature Christian life. The Bible says: "Without faith it is impossible to please God'` (Heb. 11:6).
FAITH changes us - not God. FAITH enlarges us as a channel through which God can flow. James says: "You do not have because you do ask God" James 4:2b).
Determination of Faith (25-26).
FAITH is the determination to seek specific help for a specific need.
FAITH is determination in the face of a persistent problem.
FAITH is the determination not to quit.
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Matt. 7:7)
The Direction of Faith (v. 27).
FAITH alone is not sufficient.
FAITH must bring us to Jesus!
FAITH can have no other Source but Jesus.
The Decision of Faith (vv. 27-29).
FAITH begins with knowledge: "when she heard about Jesus " (v. 27a).
FAITH grows with inward reflection: "because she thought , 'if I just touch his clothes, I’ll be healed’'' (v. 28).
FAITH must bring us to Jesus and cause a positive decision.
When she had acted upon her faith: "Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering " (v. 29).
The Declaration of FAITH (vv. 30-34).
The declaration of one’s FAITH is necessary to dispel IGNORANT FAITH.
There is no FAITH without fellowship.
PUBLIC DECLARATION of FAITH is important to Jesus.
Faith that brings us to Jesus and causes a positive response that is publicly declared is SUFFICIENT FAITH.
